I’ve been a competitive cyclist for 25+ years. I have attained a category 2 status under USA cycling & 1 under ABR. I raced “semi” professional for 3 seasons, which consisted of over 80 races in each season. Roughly 10 of these races during these were part of the national pro circuit. I logged in over 10,000 miles in each of these seasons. I have raced track, cyclocross, time trials, criteriums, road races & mountain bike races. Race distances ranging from 1K to 130 miles in 1 day.

I was certified through Mad Dog as a Johnny G spinning instructor. Have taught spin @ EAC, So Fun to Do (HR based classes), Gold Coast Multi Plex, East Bank Club, Four Seasons, LifeTime Fitness & The Wheel Thing. I have taught classes to all levels of cyclists. My classes are viewed as good but tough. I have led all levels of road & mountain rides.
I have been a top mechanic for 20 years with over 600 wheel builds & 50+ "pro" frame build ups done to date. I have been teaching repair class for 15 years.
I have received certifications for bicycle coaching, bicycle fitting & an ACE. I can do R testing & map HR zones & AT for training. I have been coaching cyclists & teaching spin for over 15 years. My coaching philosophy is that form & technique are key components to be developed & refined & that a cyclist’s foundation is leg speed & spin from which everything else can be built.
Coached women’s Little 500 for 3 years teaching all team members to ride rollers (most of which who never seriously rode) & having 3 riders awarded rider or rookie of the year.
Coached numerous riders to PR’s in TT distances ranging from 20K-40K
Riders have achieved highest ranking of career in their given discipline while being coached by me. A Tri-athlete set bike PR’s in Olympic, ½ & full Ironman distances winning age category in 1 distance & podium in other 2.
My coaching techniques have been developed from real world knowledge, application & experience & through picking the brains of many greats over the years such as:
