I use this bicycle for every day use - commuting to work, shopping, and even a bit of recreational riding with my kids. It's a great, comfortable ride, easy to maintain, etc. It probably has more gears than are necessary but too many is better than too few in this case. I've added fenders and pannier racks onto this bike easily - it's very customizable. The one drawback is that it has no chainring cover so you have to roll up the pant leg or wrap it in your sock or whatever. This seems a bit odd for a regular commuter-type bike but that's the nature of cycling in the US.

I ride the bike daily as a form of exercise and to get out of the house. I think the bike is very well made. Its very good looking and is light enough for its uses (not very hard to pick up at all). I am a Cyldesdale (200lbs and above rider) and the bike hasn't given me any issues despite how big I am. Having become accustomed to the bike for street use and the way it handles I would pretty much only recommend it to someone who only wanted to street ride it. I recommend this bike to people like me who don't have stringent requirements and want something decent. What I dont like about the bike? This may or may not be related to the design of the bike so take it with a grain of salt but when I am turning a corner at any significant speed i notice that my attention to steering and its necessity becomes more noticeable. I had some seating issues that were easily resolved when the nice assistant manager steered me away from a new seat and had me test drive it with the proper adjustment which made the seat just right.

I ride on the weekends on sidewalks and streets. This bike is so much more comfortable than my previous bike. The tires are much fatter and the ride is very smooth. The top bar is low so its easy to jump on. It feels very stable and its very easy to ride. Makes exercise fun and long lasting. Perfect bike for those who dont want to do the road bike or mountain bike thing.

I bought this bike hoping it would do double duty as a cruiser and a easy-trails mountain bike. It's a geat bike for the former -- comfy, fast, smooth, shifts and handles well, goes over grass/ dirt/ rocks/ uneven surfaces etc. like a dream. However, I decided I needed a mountain bike for true off-roading, tackling intermediate (and harder) trails, etc. The bike I'm planning to buy? A Specialized, of course!

For the price point this bike falls in, It's fantastic. Very smooth ride. Great range of gears. Both my wife and I both picked the Specialized Expedition Sport, for riding bike paths, and just around the neighborhood, their terrific for that purpose.

Recently purchased this bike to start exercising regularaly. Compared with other like priced models, this bike looks great and performs even better. Handles roads well and is comfortable. The seat alone is worth the buy. No pain!!! Im gonna go out and get myself another one, incase I can convince friends to ride with me when they visit.

I am full-time violinist who spends 4+ hrs. per day leaning over with my shoulders forward - this is the reason I looked into upright poture bikes. Let me tell you, this bike is a dream to ride. Although the front shocks are a little mushy, it guarantees that you won't have to endure most medium sized bumps

This bike is a dream to ride! I am a violinist, so I spend enough hours leaning forward, that I looked into an upright bike. Front shocks can be mushy at times, but who cares?

            Comments:

I had my Specialized Expedition for about a year and maybe 120 miles of subdivision and bike path riding. Two of the rear wheel spokes broke almost simultaneously while I was riding. The dealer sold me a new wheel, but did not charge for labor. After another 9 months, and maybe another 50 miles of riding, a spoke broke on the front wheel while the bike was just sitting in the garage. This 60 year old guy does not hop curbs, or anything else that should stress a wheel on a dual purpose bike. Interesting note: the points of breakage on all three spokes was where the white plastic reflector was woven into the spokes. I theorize that the spokes may have been originally "tuned" properly, but when the white reflectors were installed, it changed the tension on the ones it touched.
